Have you ever been moved by the depth of emotion while watching "Lose to Win"? On the screen, we witnessed a touching scene: a basketball coach and those mentally challenged children called "youths with heart", side by side, chasing the common dream of basketball. It is not only a movie, but also a window into the lonely world of those so-called "star children" - they are like stars in the night sky, twinkling alone, longing for understanding and love.

In the Spring Festival of 2024, I met this movie by chance, which not only touched my heartstrings, but also inspired my desire to learn more about these children. So, on this sunny afternoon of June 25, 2024, we set out on a journey to Shenzhen Citizen's Ai Special Children's Welfare Institution with full of love and well-prepared love materials.

At the orphanage, we were warmly received by Ms. Fu. She led us into the children's recreation room, which was full of children's laughter. They were either engrossed in the marvelous world of animation, flipping through interesting stories in comic books, or sharing a joyful time with toys. However, when a child longing for a hug jumped at us, our hearts were deeply touched at that moment and we felt their deep desire for love and warmth.

At tea time, together with the teachers, we distributed strawberry real fruit pellets to the children. As we watched them savor the sweet and sour taste, our hearts melted with them. For those children in need of help, our companionship and assistance made them feel this sweetness as well.

In every corner of the orphanage, we were amazed by the children's talents. The boy with the African hand drum struck out joy and confidence with his drum beats; the player of the ethereal drum brought us into a peaceful nature with his long-distance drumming. Their performances were an expression of self, love of life and gratitude to their parents.

Their handicraft works, each of which is full of creativity and emotion, show their love of life and unique understanding of the world. They use paintbrushes to depict their inner world and use colors to express their love of life. These works are not only a display of art, but also a transmission of emotion, which amazes even those of us who are not good at handicrafts.

In this journey full of love and hope, we not only harvested the children's laughter, but also deeply realized the power of care. Let's together, pass on warmth with action, light up hope with love, and hold up a bright sky for the "star children". Let our love become the eternal light in their lives, illuminate their way forward and warm their hearts.
