Application
Made from imported materials and meeting biocompatibility standards, these are available in tearable and non-tearable varieties. Non-tearable PTFE tubing can be used as a medical sheath or instrument channel. Tearable PTFE tubing is suitable for certain specialised instruments that require the simultaneous removal of associated components (such as wires). When the sheath cannot be withdrawn in the usual manner, it can be torn open from the outside, allowing it to be withdrawn whilst being torn, until it is completely removed.
